darealmillah: "I will lick your blood from my claws, human!"

Woooo! A Wing Commander community, could there be anything cooler? I was addicted to the WC games back in high school so much that I used to bring the Clawmarks pamphlet to study hall and sketch the ships and I even made my own Lego Ralathi, Hornet, Salthi, and Gratha!

I've completed the original WC, Secert missions 1 & 2, WC2, Special Ops 1 & 2, and Privateer. I think I came close to beating Wc3 and Wc4 but never actually finished those. I also have compelted WC for the Super NES.

Anyways, not much activity in this community it seems, so let's get some posting and commenting!

First off, what was the most difficult mission you remember from any WC games?

I would definitely have to say Secret Missions 2 (i think it was 2) where you had to pilot the stolen Dralthi fighter to escort a Drayman as well as take out a lot of opposition.

Hah. I wish I could remember all the difficult missions that my brothers did, with me watching with my chin up on the table. But I was only about three or four. Of course, that didn't change the fact that I loved WC anyway.

Actually, I'm mostly writing back because I'd like to see more posts up here, too. I tried to go back and play Privateer on my old laptop because I'd heard it was one of the better ones. Unfortunately, it died out before the game even started; I was still flying around as a little innocent merchant.

Which WCs were your favorites? I remember that the last one, where you weren't Blair anymore, as being quite sucktastic.

WC2 will still always remain one of my favorites just because the storyline was so gripping and the characters were very real, and the idea of having to be strategic to use torpedoes to destroy capital ships and having ships with turret guns were all cool concepts. In fact, I think just watching my brother play WC2 inspired me to go back and play WC1 and the Secret Missions levels.

LOVED Privateer too! Used to spend hours upon hours on that even after I beat the Steltek drone. My old 3.5 " disks are busted, so I ended up buying The Kilrathi Saga many years ago, but it just never ran smoothly on my PC. Would be so awesome if they remade stable versions of all the games. I have WC3 and 4, but they just never felt the same. The combat seemed really stiff, and I remember the battles just taking FOREVER in WC4.
